Mealtime at La Honda, a Suite for Woodwind Quintet

This suite is dedicated to all the campers and my fellow staff at Hayward la Honda Music Camp! I composed this suite based on the sounds and songs that we hear at mealtime.

Spacewalk Blues
For Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Vibraphone
Based on the feeling of walking on the moon, or another low gravity planetary object, where each step is a joyful and mezmirizing bounce. This is a minimalist piece desigend to allow the improvsers to open up, and to allow the audience to reach a meditative state.

Inspired by an eye injury, when even with my eyepatch on, the sunlight was too bright for me and I cold only come out at night.

This piece has yet to be performed.
Due to it's improvisatory nature, this MIDI can hardly do it justice. To get a sense of it will require following along with the score and stretching your imagination a bit.
